In 2016, we were at the Mobile World Congress Show in Barcelona, working with some really exciting interactive video technology. One of the most innovative and exciting projects we have worked on to date was unveiled at the show.
The exhibition stand was designed for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). It was designed to showcase their Open Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) Partner Ecosystem. The concept was designed around this ecosystem of partner companies, each demonstrating their technology utilising the HPE platform. The 9 “LED ribbons” that formed the structure of the stand represented the partners. The booth and upper level representing the HPE Cloud.
Our job was to research and develop interactive video technology that would react to the movement of people on the stand. We then needed to generate video content that would show on the LED ribbons. After various experiments, our in-house developed system utilised both sonar sensors and camera tracking. This independently generated both sound and video for each of the LED screens. The stand at Mobile World Congress was to be one of the must-see stands.
