Very early in the morning of the 9th February, two of our projectionists set off to do a bank job! The daring location was the Bank of England. The plan was to project the slogan “Be Part of the World’s Greatest Bank Job’ onto the Bank of England to launch the “Robin Hood Tax” campaign. “Early on Tuesday morning, the phrase ‘Be part of the worlds greatest bank job’ was projected on to the Bank of England. Such innovative, guerrilla marketing tactics may well be an effective way of mobilising public support. At the very least, it informs people about an arcane tax law in an exciting and entertaining way.” Samira Shackle, The New Statesman, 10 February 2010
