Last December we spent a weekend in Chelmsford, where we used projection mapping to get the city’s residents into the Christmas spirit.
Mapping onto the Shire Hall in the city centre, we projected a three and half minute, festive themed journey about the city’s history. The projection was repeated every hour over four nights, and drew in a great crowd keen to celebrate the festive season.
The cold weather was one of just many challenges we faced, which you can read more about here.
This was a ground-breaking TV commercial for the Ford S Max, with projection mapping in every shot. A really ambitious project at the time, projection mapping being a fairly new concept back in 2009 when the ad was shot.
Production company Blink approached us to work with them to create the advert. This involved bespoke 3D animation projected onto both the exterior and interior of the car.
It was this advert which led to a whole host of other car manufactures opting to use 3D mapping and other projection techniques to sell their cars (many of which we have been involved in!) Read the full case study here.
In summer 2016, we were approached by regular collaborator, content designer Rupert Newman. It was very late in the day, and our technical expertise was needed for this ambitious project to succeed.
Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte was the venue for this elaborate wedding, which we gave a quick 3D model. Six projectors were then used to map the bespoke content onto the grand building, as part of the big finale of the wedding.

In 2015 we projected a five minute journey through time that wowed the guests at Cambridge University’s May Ball.
The Wren Library at Trinity College was the backdrop for the show. Two stacks of 20K projectors were used to map the bespoke content which had a narrative based around astrophysics and time.
There were many challenges surrounding this projection mapping project, which you can read more about here.
A huge canvas over 8000 pixels wide, and 5 HD projectors created a memorising backdrop to an amazing launch party for Audemars Piquet.
This was a custom projection solution for the watch launch, which involved 14 projectors in total. The highlight was a five HD projector blend which provided a huge projection mapped backdrop. Tinie Tempah then performed an impromptu performance in front of this spectacular setting.

In 2011 Telegraph Commercial Video (part of the Telegraph Media Group) came to us with their project of creating four branded content films featuring the new Citroën DS4. We provided the projection mapping for one of these videos, which saw us mapping the content onto the curves and details of the car.
We were just one of many ‘leading non-conformists in their field’, lending their specialisms to help showcase the car. Watch the video here.
We were approached by creative agency Yellow Door to produce some projection mapping which would become a large part of the promotional video for the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class car.
As well as the projection mapping, we were asked to transform the Soho’s Elms Lesters Paining Rooms for designer Giles Deacon’s after show party.

Gilead Sciences, as part of the European AIDS Conference in 2015, wanted to show the accelerated ageing effects that AIDs drugs have on patients.
Given just five week, we created a composite 3D head and guided the re-touchers through the mapping process. Read more about the innovative project here.
A projection mapped interior was created to inspire Dulux customers in their latest TV commercial.
Event Projection were invited by creative studio Stink to shoot the advert for Dulux to launch their new Colours of the World™ collection. Three HD projectors were blended and mapped to create the ultra HD landscapes on the interior of the town house in which the ad was shot.

We’re delighted with the video – not only does it do a great job of communicating the benefits of 3D but it really captures the essence of the Sony brand.
We'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your effort and hardwork into creating a wonderful event last night. You and each of your team members were a delight to work with and hope that we will collaborate again in the near future
