Using individually projection mapped plinths, Anthony Dickenson’s music promo for Mike Snow is breathtaking. Using a dizzying combination of techniques involving projections and sculptures. The promo includes a mixture of animation and band performance footage. We think it’s a fine use of 5 weeks, which is how long it took to shoot! Amazingly, all that was required in terms of projectors was a single Panasonic AE-3000 home cinema projector!

Event Projection were brought in to make Tinie Tempah’s music video for “Invincible” happen. Using a stack of projectors, we projected footage of the rapper onto London buildings. The aim was to show the grime superstar towering over an urban environment as we see him “looking back at all the amazing things that have recently happened in his career”. The footage had been shot previously, also using projection, including some holographic reflection techniques. On a freezing cold November night a stack of three 15000 Lumen Sanyo XF47s were used for the outdoor shots enabling us to project Tinie 100’ high for the video.

Event Projection were approached by Intro Films and Directors, Julian House and Julian Gibbs to advise on projection for “Four Letter Word”, from Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye project. The track follows “Bright the Light” as the second single from Beady Eye’s debut release, “Different Gear, Still Speeding”. The directors were after a retro look for the video using Pink Floyd style oil wheels. Times have changed though, so for ease of use and last minute alliterations on set we opted to go digital using a 15K Sanyo XF47.
