LA SOIRÉE, was a truly unique event featuring a special performance of TOTEM from Cirque du Soleil. After the show there was an elaborate after-show celebration. Event Projection provided a complete AV solution including video, light and sound for a TEDx event in London. It was held at Goodenough College, a postgraduate residence and educational trust in Bloomsbury. TED is an annual event, where some of the world’s leading thinkers and doers are invited to share what they are most passionate about. Anyone who has seen TED talks online will be aware that they are extremely high end productions. This was an important aspect of our brief in creating this TEDx show.
Back in 2012, the Textlile Futures Research Centre held an event at UAL, Kings Cross Campus. Their set up included several projections to add colour and texture to the space. We also provided visuals for their presentations. TFRC comprises design-led researchers from Central Saint Martins and Chelsea College of Art & Design, at University of the Arts London. The centre is at the forefront of international dialogue and collaborative research. It focuses on design materials and textiles with a reduced environmental impact, whilst creating positive commercial and social benefits.
